Through an engaging process, clients discover untapped inner resources, expand their imagination, uncover personal blindspots, and build new capacity. This helps the client to gain insight and self-understanding, take purposeful action, and attain greater fulfillment.

How does life coaching work?

 

A certified life coach has training and skills to help you identify, articulate, and reconnect with your core values, strengths, goals, intentions, purposes, and passions. It helps you uncover hidden beliefs and patterns that may subconsciously be working against you. Working together, we create new insights, perspectives, skills, and actions, which help you be more effective and successful in life.

I aim for coaching that is transformative, to create embodied and mindset shifts that support your authentic self and allows you to see things differently. This transformation can allow you to be and act from a new ground of being. 

How to Get Started


Start by scheduling your complimentary consultation and sample coaching session. This is an opportunity to meet and see how we might work together, without any obligation or sales pressure.

All coaching sessions are:

  • Confidential (in accordance with International Coaching Federation guidelines)

  • Respectful of all individuals

  • Collaborative partnership

Prior to the first paid session, you will be provided with a written coaching agreement, which we will both sign. You will also receive questions to consider in preparation for the first meeting

Ready to work together?

Individual coaching sessions may be arranged as needed at an hourly rate. However, coaching packages are strongly recommended as they offer the greatest value and provide a framework for an effective coaching relationship. Coaching packages of 4, 8, or 12 sessions qualify for discounted rates. Multi-session coaching packages include:

 
  • Complimentary sample coaching session (prior to working together).

  • Complimentary 30 minutes included with your first coaching session for a total of 90 minutes. We will use this extra time during our first meeting (called the Discovery Session) to learn more about you and what’s important to you to form a vital foundation for our work together. 

  • Coaching session follow-up emails, if requested.

  • Quick check-ins between sessions, if needed.

  • Sessions, which do not expire, scheduled at your convenience  

  • Additional sessions, as needed, at package rates.

  • Complimentary completion/client feedback sessions.

What is transformation?

The word transformation often conjures images of a complete and dramatic change in form or appearance, like in a quick makeover.

But the kind of transformation I speak of in coaching is one that results in a major shift in the client’s mindset and internal landscape.  With this shift, they begin to see things differently, so they can create new behaviors or respond in new, non-habituated ways to situations, to others, and to themselves. When the transformation is embodied, behavioral changes are sustained and visible in external circumstances. 

Coaching can be transformational in that it allows the coach, who is unconditionally committed to your success, to see and call out your strengths as well as your blindspots (like unhelpful beliefs and behavior patterns) in real time as we work together.  

How does this differ from counseling or therapy? Coaching is not counseling or therapy, and it is not intended to address deep-seated personal issues.  Coaching is a collaborative partnership oriented towards the client’s future, and things that appear as obstacles to the client's growth are recognized and brought into their awareness in service of their goals.

You are the expert of your life, so in the coaching interaction, my goal is to work together to draw out what you need to address the tasks and challenges you face and to help you be fulfilled.
