Mindfulness Offerings

Mindfulness is paying attention to the present moment, without bias, negativity, or judgment.

Mindfulness practice can…

  • build resilience, sense of well-being, strength of mind, clarity, and compassion

  • make times of change and difficulties more manageable

  • enhance conscious awareness and support embodied positive change

Mindfulness may sound simple, but it can be hard to do because our “monkey minds” are always busy with fleeting thoughts and emotions.

The practice of mindfulness helps tame the mind. Ancient mindfulness techniques and current understandings from Western psychology and neuroscience support that mindfulness practice reduces negative states and promotes lasting positive change.

Kind Words

“I crave Mindfulness Mondays, the focus and grounding during the session is nourishment for my soul. I carry the experience with me and can practice the techniques anywhere anytime. The sessions came to me when I needed them the most in my life. I am so grateful for Mariko. She is a warm, generous and gentle teacher.”

—M.H.

“I didn’t really know that Zen moments existed, but after participating in Mariko’s Mindfulness Mondays class, I have been able to reap the emotional and physical benefits of remaining in the present. The mindfulness sessions have provided me time to reflect and respond to life’s challenges in a more empowering way, while dulling down the anxious voices that used to surface.”

— P. N-H.

“I cannot thank you enough for hosting these sessions. They have been such a blessing to both of us! Thank you!”
